Description

This a piece from my "Father to Father" CD of orchestral pieces. The piece is prefaced with a poem fragment read by my brother, Jonathan Staniforth - an original work of the same title. The piece starts with a choral section (a uni-choir of me) in a round that continues throughout. The orchestral instruments come in at intervals, starting with the strings and followed by the woodwinds and horns. The idea is that we all have our own level of sunkenness, whether it be addiction, love, religion, ambition, greed, or other mono-manias.

Well now, as the proud owner of your delightful album, I already know this one ... and it was an instant favourite the first time I heard it.

I love layered up voices, and your voice has so much richness of tone ... it works really well on this. I like Jonathan's contribution too.

And if you ever want to do something like this with female voices added, I might know someone ... (hint hint).

	very cool love the slow build as you bring in the different instruments. cool vocal round. this is hypnotic and could be used as meditational music, but not so sure i want this message repeating in my vulnerable brain during meditation....lol...great stuff daniel. really enjoyed this. .. the acapella (nub) ness of this ..... isn't music fun where we can all express all sorts of ideas and thoughts ! I echo Rebsie that a few little lilty female like vocals would be interesting ... however they would change it from the "Monk's Chant" sound that is going on and is working beautifully .....
