Description:
Ironically, I didn't play drums on this track... I'll eventually just re-write it with a jammin' drumset-part. Also, I can't sing for my life, however I think the song needs vocals, any volunteers?

Hardware:
IMac G5, Roland RS-5, Ibanez guitars, Korg Toneworks Effects.

Software:
Garageband

Very cool! &mdash 11/30/04 - 08:24:13 PM
Right on the money with those string loops. I would love
to hear the rewritten version with live drums. The guitar is
simply awesome in this song, I love the sound.

I could see vocals making this song even better (I can't
sing worth a darn so can't help you there)

High marks for sure!

Makes me want to buy... &mdash 12/01/04 - 02:00:54 AM
a Korg effects module. The guitar in this sounds fantastic! This is a powerful piece. I think the guitar is the vocals...its very exprssive. You really molded everything together extremely well. The little touches are savory. Well writtem. Well played. Well produced. Well done! (8-10-8-8)

Thanks man I really appreciate your comments, I heard your recent collab mix
with packosmokes and it's jammin'. Also, the Korg Effects is nice, I've had it for
a while, and I'm glad I finally get to record with it. Once again thanks for the
comments and hopefully my next song will be better.

...different &mdash 12/01/04 - 08:07:57 PM
After your description I was expecting a song with huge
empty sections waiting for vocals... not so. I agree that
the arrangement itself and that guitar do the job.

I really liked sections of the song and some were so-so.
For the really heavy chugging guitars I would've double
tracked and panned them hard for more chug. Could
push it over the top!

Decent use of loops also... recognized a few of them from
stuff that I've done, but it's great to hear different uses for
them.

6-7-6-6 Nice Job!

Yeah man thanks for the comments, I will consider them when I write the next
one, I guess I'll stay a little away from the loops, lol... thanks again I really
appreciate it. I'll also try the guitar idea.

Lose the canned loop &mdash 12/06/04 - 05:32:02 PM
Great. Fantastic. I'd score you even higher if you'd lose the
all-too-familar GB violin loop that appears at the very
beginning and repeats itself at intervals throughout the
piece. It is a canned loop, right? Most everything else is
absolutely smashing. Maybe a little more clarity or energy
in the drums midway through the song. 7-9-7-7
