Description

I seem to be at a complete loss for creating anything like a song at the moment. Actually it's been a while. Hence the Buddha Box series and the recent Detroit loop fest. I've been trying to add bass to a collab that I started and have been stalled for weeks - and tonight I forced myself to pick up my acoustic guitar and lay something down and this is what happened.

I guess it sounds best in headphones. It's OK if you turn it off quickly - I don't claim there to be anything to wait for. Please excuse this indulgent piece - I hope you understand.

Oh, yeah...the music
I was so exited being first, I forgot to say something. It's a great mix, an interesting sound, cinematic. I understand dry spells. I didn't post for over a year. I couldn't think of a way to sound better. Flushing out sounds of any kind should help with your bass-collab project, sort of clearing the deck for something new to land there. This does sound pretty cool.

Intersesting Piece Bud Doggie
Ive been in a real Jam-band rock mood lately and this is right in there kinda like if you started at the jammy part :) . My Musical taste seems to be so focused at times ....its odd . I had a dream last night about walking in the woods and there were camps and little stores set up and paths leading to nowhere it seemed until I got somewhere and I was just wondering around lost the whole night just following paths and bumping into people and having deep conversations about life and each path was a different enlightenment it seemed ...I even had the chance to talk to a tree in the dream and it seemed to be so enlightened and mellow as to just be part of the fabric of the dream that I missed its meaning until I woke up and realized that our simple conversation was the most important it gave a good hug two ...well Ive listened 3 times now and I love it . You know Im a big fan of your bass playing and the droney trance like effect this piece has is real heavy ...thanx for your energy this was awesome !

This sounds really neat....

You're right, great in headphones....

It combines a lot of what you DO, really... there's a rocky element, a rhythmic catchiness, layer layers of layering, and a general sort of ambient thing going on.... Great mix of the clean and delineated with the distorted and the flowing....

Good as is, and it can grow into something else if words or more overt melody strikes you at some point....

what an EXTREMELY cool build in the beginning. totally unexpected with the introduction of the guitar and then suddenly there's just awesome coolness coming from everywhere, filling up my head. and it just keeps going, so many layers to this. a great sense of movement, while also feeling like standing still. really, this is incredible. one of the coolest things i've heard in awhile.
