Retro Coolness
I actually get a DOOM II video game vibe from this, which brings back some fond memories. Love the drum and bass breakdown after the 1 minute mark, really cool. I actually think the horn samples are working great as they are. If I were to play sax on this the easiest thing would be for me to play it pretty straight forward and then let you tweak the sounds with all the stutter stuff, but you may end up with something that sounds pretty similar to what you already have, since everything is so processed. Overall, another great one from you. You need to send these out for people t spit on.

Ok
I like the way you used the horns for the track. It really brings it out. It has an older feel to it (which is a good thing. I always have a very hard time using horns on track I try to make. I usually end up deleting them, but you've seemed to make things work.

thanks spit. Im still new at the horns, in fact this is the first track I actually succeeded in creating a horn sound i was satisfied with and considered useable. Its opened a new door for me, ive got a few similar tracks in the works..Lovin the horn action.

Burning it up!
Truly amazing. Love that build up starting at 1:27, and then, that climax you mention at 2:04. Oh yes! And, at 2:23. My ears on on overload. This is awesome...I can't say it enough. This is fantastic!!

Sounds like it would make a
good background to a spy movie or some other mystery drama. Yeah, the video game ambiance is there. (Though I never played any video games, I have watched my grandson.) Thanks.

yeah
cool use of that funky horn along with your kicka$$ beats. 1:55 the panning, echoey synth and then hi-hat hits coming in - awesome. man, proto, you need to get into writing for film. you are excellent at creating moods in unusual ways that are still so totally accessible by everyone. another awesome tune.

interesting
I made a song, experimenting with the pop synths in GB and I let my cousin hear it, he said it sounded like a video game, sense I don't play video games,I was taken aback, but then i started to hear what he heard, and I was like yea Ok. Ordinarily my music doesn't sound like that luckily. A menacing rap vocal could change the perception on this one, or go with it and tell a story of video character going through the game that would be tight.

cool thanks for stoppin by and givin me your feedback, its always appreciated. however, thats my style, im heavily influenced by video games and hip hop so i bred them both together to aquire my own style. This is the exact sound i was going for when makin the track...some will be into it, others not so much, and some will just be confused at my choice of sound.. but im defining my own sound thats my goal in making music. I steer from the ordinary, the mainstream, pop, I approach music like ive never heard music before in my life. you know what i mean? Its like i throw all borders, boundaries, and genres out the window and just create.

Again though, thanks for your perspective. And yea an emcee could kill this if done right.
