Glad to give that smile another reason
I may have put the bass a little too far out front - but it was an experiment in pinning the song with something really simple and steady. The only way I could play it straight was to turn the shaker all the way up and everything else down while I did the bass.
This tune could use some tweaking - but it'll likely never get it.

Killer...
...bass, Bud. What a comfortable song...and with such wonderful guitar licks that peek in and out behind your vocal. You have really controlled the orchestration and never take it beyond where it supports (very tastefully) your vocal...Two nits: check your vocal pitch; maybe a little more energy in the vocal delivery. I'm in the hammock and nearly asleep...But maybe that was your intention. ... And, yes, we ARE on the same track: enough of this Winter business. Let's get on with the sunshine. (Hey, that could be a song title...gotta think about that.) Wonderful post.

	You always hear what I hope is sliding by and I'm so glad you're honest about it. I do have pitch issues and I did do multiple takes of the vocals with different energy levels. Winter
Seems we all had a long and freezing winter from both part of the ocean ! I spend it listening a lot of John Brion's work as I was cutting a movie using some of his compositions as guide track. Your song borrows his light-hearted, warm and mellow feeling, and you sing it with a remarkable laid back attitude. Guitar and bass are really cool too… loved it and downloaded.

"San Francisco" and "A Horse With No Name" :) I like songs which focus on the small things - leaving the coat on the door, sunlight on the floor etc. This is a really enjoyable, low-key song which is strangely relaxing (and for which I am incredibly late).

No matter how many piano notes you remove, you'll always find more :)

	Relaxing I love it when acoustic guitar and piano accompany each other. It's almost like they get lost in one other and the listener has to turn it up just a bit more to realize... I love the feel of this song...
Last thing I would call it is simple. The poetry speaks strongly to me (though we haven't quite had 60's yet); little cold and windy here still, but I can feel it coming. I just had to pick up my guitar and play along. I'd say you're back on your game and it is stronger than ever. Nice tune, Bud. It's the observations we choose that give us our frame of mind. It's been a long winter, but it's got to give way now (inner scream of joy happening now;-).

your song is just..... wonderful.
its the most beautiful song, i listend to in the last couple of weeks.

especially the lyrics, and your interpretation of it ....
but the whole song, the calm in it. everything fits. everything is right. in itself. even the fade out seems to be perfect.

that is exactly the feeling that I have, when I ride down to the side of the river spree (the river, which flows through berlin) , just to smoke a cigarette in the evening-hours of early spring and also mostly to see things from a different angle.

...have i changed or am i the same..

with songs like this, you can nearly brake my heart, the place, where this comment comes from. really.

Great Pop
Great opening guitar tracks, and, I really lie the chosen simple drum track which goes very well with the vocals. Almost has a Joy Division feel to it if you ask me, mixed with American trad. rock? The vocals are so dry ( I hope thats okay to say, and I love the vocals, don't take me wrong), but it's not the vocals you'd expect from or within this song. "The cardinal calls its short sharp peep. Reminding me to buy more feed." That is GOLD if anything.
