Has a lot of potential &mdash 12/01/04 - 09:14:47 PM
I like it in general. The timing is decent and the vocals are
in key and show a lot of potential. But there is way too
much treble in the mix - guitars, vocals, etc. I didn't think
there was a bass, but then I thought I heard it briefly in
the middle. This is a good song and its definetly worth
some more work.

Thanks for the input. I know the sound quality is pretty bad. It's a
combination of having a really bad mic and me just having not mixed it very
well yet. I only just started using GB and I'm having a bit of a hard time
getting the levels right on the live stuff. It may actually be a problem with the
way I'm interfacing with my computer.

I'll tweak the mix some more. I'm looking to rerecord this (at least the vocals)
in a studio.

Good singer behind the tin foil &mdash 12/02/04 - 05:14:48 AM
Oh man, get a good mic and share your voice. You have
excellent phrasing. Dripping with pathos. This rocks.

That is some voice! &mdash 12/03/04 - 01:52:29 PM
Well, you've made an instantaneous fan here. I think
your songwriting is excellent and I love the guitar
sound. Admittedly this version does suffer for the
poor audio quality, but it sounds to me like there's a
substantial talent in there trying to burst out.
Especially the voice, which is just fantastic. You've
really got something special there.

I agree that it's worth your while investing in
whatever you need to get a clean recording and do
justice to your music.

Thanks again. I'm hoping to get a better quality recording made. I have a lot
of songs that haven't gotten past the basic rough guitar-and-vocals-
recorded-on-the-built-in-laptop-mic stage. Often, I give my best vocal
performance on those simple recordings for some reason. Perhaps, I'm just
more relaxed when I'm not worrying about tempo and building big mixes.

That's understandable - I only record when I'm alone in the house, for
the same reason. But my confidence improved hugely when I started to
get nice comments on MacJams, so I hope the same works for you.

This is one of my favoriates of yours. Love the melody. Great
singing.

I can't beleive you are not getting more posts to this tune or
downloads.

Hey, thanks, Tiler. It's been a long time since anyone came down here on my
song list. Production is pretty rough on this one. One day I'll take the time to
redo it with better sound.

yeah man &mdash 08/21/05 - 09:51:44 PM
I love the rough production of this song,
perfect recording for this tune, in my opinion,
I gotta work my way up your song list, so
many people and songs to listen to, but I
will get there. I really like the minimalistic
instrumentation and the vox and lyrics.

Thanks, Johnny. This was one of my first GB projects. It's nice to see it can still
get a nice comment.

It's fascinating to go back to an earlier work of someone you've been
listening to for the last year.
I enjoy this much.
Do you still plan on re-doing this?

Hey Joan. Thanks for stopping by. Maybe someday I'll get around to re-
recording this. I know I could make it sound better if I did. But I'm feeling lazy.

I like the rough production of the lyrics and the voice is nice. There are times in the song when it is so perfect. The chorus and the song is very beatles like and easy to hear on the ears. In general I like this tune very much. I think this song needs very little work to be finished. This song has a vintage feel to it and that is amazing.
