Description
This song uses words from a Drama Speech warm up and I added some more lyrics to give it a suddenly ominous tone. It was all recorded by me (guitar, vocals and backing vocals). It is in the great tradition of British Folk composers and I aimed to create a real atmosphere of fear and unknowing combined with bleak hopelessness that the English countryside conjures up on a foggy evening. I feel this is best personified in the warbly backing vocals which are meant to sound halfway between dissonant and tuneful and completely soaked in reverb. This is best listened to in some sort of stereo mix because the atmosphere is best created this way.

The first two lines (I get gun to shoot yon man on you hill) are from the drama exercise and the rest are my own.

Great guitar work on this, and I liked the harmonies too.
