thanks len i was actually thinking that this might be filler for some beats on top but your right, i may be able to break it up and work it into something resembling actual music. originally i was experimenting with trying to cut down the background noise when i record vocals(i have no gear at the moment, its a budget thing, vocals go straight into my screen) but i haven't come up with a solution that produced much difference. will keep on working on it. thanks much for your comments, greatly appreciated! Great goo! I've never been good at picking out lyrics from conventional pop tunes because my brain is more wired for the noise. so I can't quite make out what's being said (and chopped-up) here. Still the sounds are distinct, therefore they seem to be complete, needing no special parametric EQ surgery or anything like that. What do you do with this? If you leave as-is, it's sort of like a water-sanded shell or stone on the beach. Or a tangle of seaweed, flotsam, stones, shells and some undiscovered goo holding it together. It could remain an ball of sound, or as you note, you could add drums and bass. Or you could pick this stone-shell up off the sand and expand on it, maybe using lyrics based on the fragments and facets already in it. Paint some sort of picture that way. Thanks! It has been a while since I made this and I can't remember what I was saying! Except for 'what kind of sound is this'. Thanks for the great comments, particularly saying you found the sounds distinct. I was experimenting with my on board mic (the screen) trying things to help the recording of my vocals. After a few tries, I could find no difference between the recordings I had made so I used them in experimenting with getting as much in there as possible without it sounding like mush! here - start putting a beat/bass behind and it could get VERY interesting. Can't believe nobody else has commented. I will look forward to where this goes. Technically can find no fault with what you have done so far.
