Nicely done! Sounds like you've been listening to Magnatone :) I worked in Stockport for a year, and the sounds you've put together remind me of some of the glorious countryside we saw on our weekend trips into the countryside. Oh my... ... in among all this powerpop, grunge and indie "Spirit of a Northern Town" is a breath of something different. It kinda puts me in mind of the intros on those classic 80's films by the likes of Ken Loach. My only criticism is there isn't enough of it - I'd love to hear more of this! Beautiful. hmmm well last time i was in a proper northern town, i got called a "guardian reading lefty" by the hotel owner where i was staying, after i complained about his night porter punching my friend in the head.... This is wonderful Richard. Very well played and orchestrated, with a dark mood turning to the light. Kudos for this my friend it is a very beautiful, if short, piece of music.
