Yanomami (edit)

Description
Very little happens in this song. The changes are extremely slow, and the volume is intentionally low. I find it very good for any task that requires patience and focus.
It is a long edit from a much longer piece; and probably a good idea to download it instead of trying to listen to it here.

I had been thinking this would be a good one to dedicate to Karen (magnatone) because she's such a lovely girl. In light of some rumblings I sense on the horizon, though, I've decided instead to dedicate it to all who tremble in the calm before the storm.

MoM, there's just nobody like you! Thank you for considering dedicating this incredibly calming music to me - and i COMPLETELY support your decision to refocus the dedication to "all who tremble in the calm before the storm." That's what makes you such a GOOD MoM!

Karen
You're a dear, dear girl! Thank you so much for understanding; the next one will be only for you, I promise.

As to my uniqueness, I don't know........... most of the things I've read seem to imply that MoM is the same everywhere!

And, by all means use this where you can. I've been scrubbing stairs to it (and with excellent results, I should add)!

i think
this will be much needed in the coming days. a truly excellent ambient piece, with a playful feel. small sprinklings of fairy dust and trembling wings, whisperings of the unknown. a (tentative) exploration of delight and wonder. there are shadowy places, frightening at first, but then light shines and reveals more beauty. the pacing is perfect, slowly taking you deeper and deeper. thoroughly enjoyed. thank you for the download. when do we get the much longer piece???

Why, Shay!
That's really a very lovely comment, and I'm just tickled pink that you enjoyed my song so much!

I would have uploaded the long version, but the FAQ requests a maximum file size of 20M. This is 20.8M; the full length version is closer to 50..... But if you'd like it, I will happily email it to you. Just let me know, dear .....

Love,

MoM

It's a wonderful piece of music and very, very evocative, which is a bonus for me.

Brilliant arrangement and production.

Take care.

Downloaded as recommended
but unable to stop listening here. Very wonderful atmosphere you've created - I can't wait to play this later with the light out snug in my bed. I also go for low volume pieces when it's the right feel - and I appreciate that you mentioned it here.

I have heard that your hearing is different......
I'm very glad you like the atmosphere, too. I limited my self to very few tracks, and made a lot of use of slow automation changes. It's a bit of a challenge to keep it interesting but not intrusive. Thank you for the nice comment, and I'm very glad you enjoyed my song!

calm before the storm...

I agree, it's a red sky this morning.

I'll reef my sails and batten everything down as I play this song. Truly a calming interlude for the every-sailor of the seas. This could be a long storm...

To tell the truth,
I was thinking of Hurricane Dee when I posted this. Since that one turned out to be a topical depression, I'm thinking I should have just gone ahead with my original dedication.

I know the storm you're referring to, though, and I agree; the more steps that are taken to "protect" us from it, the worse it will eventually be..... Stay well, Jack, and thank you for the listen.
