well, i'm not sure about throwing panties on stage, but i DO think this is a very fine homage to Capt. Kirk ...... no wait, to your Roland keyboard .....no WAIT .... Roland Kirk, right right. Seriously ORBIT - cool groove on the sax!

chilled saxophone
the rhythm is a beautiful strut. the saxophone melody is a dream. a dizzy musical interlude. it seemed far too short. 0x0

a great homage...
...to a great musician- The interplay between the bass & sax lines are seriously 'Kirkish' & I Iove Roland Kirk!

Cheers from 'Down Under'

yoooooo...
this is so brazen and chill. I love this groove, it floats and eats itself like roiling, carnivorous cotton candy. A smooooth and sugary bed of sound for some brash and evocative sax meanderings.

This is great -
really excellent feel Patrick - and sounds like the man. Were you circular breathing while you played? What would that be on a keyboard? I dd a similar tribute a while back to Ornette Coleman. Here's the link: http://macjams.com/song/30644

We should jam sometime.

Jamming sounds good to me...
It's interesting how much I have grown to love jazz....but I'm limited by what I play...wish I had learned horns or keyboards...something where I could really jam.... oh well...
leave all the talent to the talented...lol

Nice Patrick
Reminded me of a various artists modern tribute to Monk CD I have somewhere. I'm not too familiar with this cat - I'll have to change that. My absolute Jazz fave is Eric Dolphy!

This grooves along nicely Patrick. Drums are nice and loose. Sax and bass do dance through my head...

All Right Roland
I think I'd have liked to have heard a rhythm instrument such as a piano doing some chord work for a little variety. Also maybe a harmony saxophone on top would have been a nice touch.

The overall feel of the piece is good enhanced by the drums and the bass.
