Description
I am performing music for my high school for my senior project, so I rough recorded this song to teach to my friends that will be playing with me. It has a lot of loops and the drums are just garageband loops, and the guitar is sometimes off rhythm but i thought i would post it on here for suggestions anyway. A lot of my influences are bands like Explosions in the Sky, This Will Destroy You, and Saxon Shore.

U2
Really well constructed I thought U2 was about to start playing. Strange you did not mention them.
But I definately get U2 sounds awesome.

thanks
Thanks for the listen. It does have a bit of U2 sound to it, now that you mention that. I didn't think to put that as one of my influences-which is odd because they are one of my favorite bands.

Big Trees on Small Islands
Very good tune. The overall level is too quiet. Not in mood, I mean volume, so it fixable. Good song, run with the idea!

problem
Thanks for listening. I agree, I tend to run into that problem when I record songs. The finished result will be really quiet compared to other professionally produced songs on the same volume. How do I fix that on Garageband?

Great framework
Good build up and tension, and stays true to it's theme throughout.

The lead guitar at the end sounded a touch out of tune but maybe I'm hearing things.

Sounded good. Be sure to post the final product!

thanks for listening
Thanks for the input-- It is difficult to construct these time of songs, so I'm glad you think the framework is good. Yes I think the guitar may have been a little out of tune, and I think I also hit a wrong note in there somewhere as well, lol. I am not sure if we are going to record a final product (although it would be fun to use real drums and no loops!), this was just a rough demo for my other guitarists to listen to so they can learn there parts.

Big trees.
Very original. The guitars are just beautiful. I was about to complain about the thumping bass drum just after 3:00, but it evolves nicely. In other words, the overall progression of the piece, as gentle as it is, is full of pleasant surprises. The drums sound surprisingly good for GB loops. Well done. Maybe bring the overall volume up a notch or two. The tuning can be fixed for the final version, which I'm looking forward to.
