Description
Mr.Soundhound, a veteran funk and R&B man from iCompositions(I think he has a page here too) sent me a track he was working on and asked me to put some keyboard doodles on it. I had a great time working with his track but realized I had too much going on for a track that was going to have vocals, so I asked him if I could post an instrumental version.He gave me permission and then I really went hog wild with making glitchy breakbeats out of the drum intro and adding other instrumentation. Thanks to Mr.Soundhound for the inspiration. Mr.Soundhound's version can be found at http://www.icompositions.com/music/song.php?sid=109951 The picture is Charles Ponzi,whom the "Ponzi Scheme" is named after.
Soundhound= guitars, drums,bass
Myself=electric piano, clavinet, synth bass, additional wah guitar, freaky breaks,final mix.

Nice.
Those broken up drum beats are sweet. Jazzanova is one of the few bands in this genre that I listen to and my ears perked right up to a familiar sound when I heard that rhythm. I hope you don't mind the comparison. The clav is pretty cool on this too. If you really wanted to have even more fun with this, you could set the clav up to some ultra-heavy sweeping phaser patches and have people passing out and getting dizzy, having seizures, etc. Good stuff.

What an arrangement of sounds, very tastefully put together. All those beats and that guitar are perfect. Reminds me of Dj Shadow, excellent song.
