	moly thanks ridd. coming from you such praise means a lot. as i was mentioning to feter, i didn't want it to sound too nice. i didn't even isolate myself, you can hear the hum of the computer in the background. and i tried to keep the vocals dry in the verses. this may be the only tune i've ever done where the vocals are too up-front. i confess
i was aiming for that loose sort of feel. i played a scratch track on the acoustic for the whole song - without a click track. i kept it in the intro (nose whistles and all) and derived the tempo for the other verses and choruses. so each verse, chorus and the outtro are their own tempos. sure, a little more work, but the song ebbs and flows (tempo-wise) how it would played live... or so i like to think. thanks for checking it out, vic!

It's been too long...
... since I've ached to be able to download an MJ song. This is simply stunning. There 's a moment when you sing "This situation..." and the second voice comes in that sent a shiver down my back. When music does that I know it's perfect.
One of, if not, the best songs I've heard here, and that's saying something.

I've played this to so many of my mates. How do you get everything so perfectly placed, spaced and performed?? Vocals are spot on (and perfectly eq'd). That middle bit with the muted guitar plucking and drum beat (which is such a good beat) is just something else mate. I'd love to know how you got that acoustic guitar sounding like that? Is it really closely stereo mic'd and then had the mid eq boosted? I can't figure it out, but whatever it is its great. When i listen to your music it always sounds like a real band is playing as oppose to a single person overdubbing on a computer, it's like there's a dedicated singer, drum player, guitar and bass player, synth player etc, etc (i lose track of all the bloody instruments you play)
Anyway, it would be ridiculous of me to find something to 'critique' on this piece, and i know i could find a million things i find cool about this song, so i'm going to stop writing before it's too late.

Thanks for that

(p.s I'll tell you all about the New York thing soon, i have some (not overly, but relatively) exciting news)
