Lyrics
There are new sounds
In the night
Peepers chorus
Distant thunder

In the morning
Songbird music
Geese are calling
Returning home

New life
Sounds of Spring

Buds are dropping
Leaves are sprouting
And the grass is green
Overnight

Sun comes streaming
The earth is warming
Flowers growing, growing
Such delight

This is beauty
This is Spring

Interlude

Love comes gently
Like the Springtime
Can you feel it
Calling you

Open your heart
Like the flower
Let the warmth come
Try anew

This is beauty
Like the Spring

Cool-
I'm often inspired to write Autumnal songs, but when Spring comes, I follow the urge to plan and plant a vegetable garden. This is a very uplifting song. It's lovely as presented here, simple and to the point. I wonder if a bass line of some kind would add more depth without complicating the delivery.

Sing and play dulcimer at the same time?
I've never even tried playing one, but I'm game, if you are. Thanks, my friend, for always being so supportive and encouraging to us all. :-)

You want a dulcimer?
You've got it!

Next time, just tell me the time signature, tempo (beats per minute), and chord changes, and I'll cook up a dulcimer backing for you.

A Welcome To Spring
Free, easy and full spirited. Roxylee's vocals over that soft strum of your dulcimer. Can't get much better. Thanks to you both.

Jim and Rox
The dulcimer is so expressive as an acoustic instrument. I like this straightforward presentation. Rox, the very sound of your voice speaks life and warms the bones.
Thanks guys for expanding my horizons with this fresh modern folk music.

very nice
I really like the poetic imagery, and the simple arrangement with patches of harmony is most fitting. Thanks for sharing.

Waking the buds
I feel the young plants slowly gaining strength to push through the chilly melting snow, tentatively peeking up, feeling the warmth of the sun, and deciding to blossom. Very nice dulcimer work, Jim, and excellent singing and lyrics Roxylee! Makes me want to record another dulcimer piece and ask you nicely if you would sing something again! :-) Maybe Jim and I will have a dueling Dulci-Fest!
