Description

The idea behind this mix is of Time as a physical presence and everything else being a wave front changed through the interaction with this notion.

I've been heavily into Pink Floyd for over a week now and I'm still immersed in the Culture of Floyd, hence my different angle on things, and there's no sign of me coming out the other end of the obsession any Time soon. My wavefront is still interacting, with Time being the catalyst of my Dreams.

As always please let me know your thoughts on any aspect of my music or whatever. I'll answer any questions with the best will in the world.

Hi Mark....
I've been immersed in Floyd for over a week, watching and listening to all I can buy down at the local HMV shop. I had heard lots of the music before, of course, but had not really listened to it all. This time though I've been listening. I didn't realise how experimental they were. It has been a great experience for me.

This mix was made after watching the Live at Pompeii Directors Cut. They were very innovative and one of the soft synths I used was a soft clone of the synth Roger Waters used on Dark Side of the Moon.

What you say is 'just my luck', as I'd be 105 in 2061, so there probably wouldn't be a second soundtrack made, except if again I do it now!!!! Best get the mixes churned out.

It's great that you appreciate the soundscape and think it appropriate to a future Stanley Kubrick's movie making.

creative way
to express the idea of waves. it works very very well. there is a slight underwater sound and just enough of a tidal push/pull to this to really communicate the ideas behind it. a really cool ambient soundbed. my ear was wanting a floating, ephemeral melody to come in over the top of everything about 2/3 of the way through the piece, moving in and out of the time waves as they collided. another great piece of work paul. very cool.

Obscured by Clouds was one of the CD's I managed to buy last week, so I've been listening to this music and Oomagooma is just a little bit harder to come across. One day.......

It's all been interesting to listen to, especially after all I'd had for the last few years was Dark Side of the Moon. Now I've many more tracks and a few DVD's to listen to and watch.
