It’s been one of those day’s when pain leads to pain
And nothing is soothing at all

I wait by the window - It’s raining like crazy
And I’m wishing my Jenny would call

There’s no food in the freezer and the TV is broken
And a spider spins time on the wall

I’m high as a kite but that’s no consolation
When I’m wishing my Jenny would call

There’s a flower on the table
But it ain’t meant for no one
Cause there’s no one that I meant it for

Cause I’m madder than hell cause she knows how I worry
She seen me up pacing the floors

Now don’t get me wrong cause I ain’t complainin’
It’s just I’m wishin’ my Jenny would call

I can picture her dancing in this rain dressed in lace
But the picture keeps fading away

Now don’t I look foolish I’m feeling so helpless
God I wish my Jenny would call…
