Description
Found this tape in the basement while i was housecleaning, it's an acapella piece recorded in 2002 on a very basic four track. It's a little dig at some of those highly irritating early morning tv programes we used to suffer here in the UK like - the Big Breakfast - and of course - Rise itself - you know where everybody laughs at everything. It was these shows that helped me understand the meaning of the term -dumbing down. I wrote this in a hotel room in Solva, West Wales. I can't remember how many times I dubbed my voice but it was lots - I was going to take out the low end hum but decided in the end to leave it, after all this is how it was originally done - I hope you enjoy it.

thank you Feter
this is an odd track to say the least - just for fun I suppose. I found a load of this stuff which I'd forgotten about, the recording quality is far from good on most of them but some of the songs are not too bad. Just curios I'm sure, it's funny listening to them though.

Like how you
maintain a style in all of the music I've heard you do. Lots of cool rhymes and a unique woofer style !

Cool harmonies, especially like the how you work the lower end sound as well in this !

early morning tv seems a bit better now over here but not to worry, there is still plenty of room for improvement.

hello Len
Thanks for listening and visiting - sorry I'm late responding - as they say - don't get around much anymore - well not on the internet it seems. I'm in the middle of forming a new group with some old friends from the sixties, all good boys and seasoned players, it's the most motivated I've been for years. Also photography seems to be taking more of my time - great to hear from you.

John

Nice find, nice tune. Happy talk always made me unhappy, as well. Flip from murder and mayhem to a cooking demonstration. It's like real-life mirrors the Onion (www.onion.com) Check out this "Today Now" fake morning show segment: http://tinyurl.com/cw83zx ... and subscribe to their vid podcasts, great stuff.

Be nice and have a nice day. Because people helping people help people is what it's all about.

So sorry
I didn't put up my fan icon on this because you have a really nice way of making music here and no instruments except the voice and a bit of percussion. That is hard to get that much music out with minimalist instrumentation.

Way to go
