Lyrics
Child' Eye.

As a child his eye did wander, see more that you know.

The city crowds, the endless noise, all within his world.

And I recall on that day, a long, long time ago,

There were lots of smiling faces, waiting for you to show.

You soul is bright my love and you shine your light my love.

Now you've grown and its all the same daze,

Down deep inside, you still see the situation

With you child's eye's.

And all trough the good times and the bad times that you had

They show the light within you and you should be glad.

Your soul is bright my love, you shine your light my love,

On to the world below, until everyone knows

That you sold all your soul for paper money and gold.

And the time that you've blown, now you've bought all the clothes,

But your still so alone, yeah you're still so alone.

And in the end it all comes down to the things that you see.

The changing face of all you know makes your own reality,

Or hypocrisy. So have you had a good life?

Seen more than the crowd? Oh wow! Is that the time?

One more to see what's come around.

Probably just one notch down from something I'd expect
to hear on the radio. Loved the vocals. Mix was great -
vocals out front as they should be, everything else
balanced. I did hear some low level noise during the quiet
parts (like the intro). So, how do you lke Logic? I was
thinking about picking up Logic Express in the next
month or so,

Thanks for your comments. It's nice to get some positive feedback after a lot
of knock backs!. To answer your questions, the noise was there because of a
low recording level which was then normalised. I knew it was there but the
rest of the track was good so we decided that, in this kind of track, it gave it
that raw band vibe that works. As for logic express, can I ask if you have any
connections with education facilities? Because there ae sizable discounts if
cost is the reason you are not buying logic pro 7. In my opinion the best
audio/midi sequencer you can buy.
Thanks again,

Thor

I have four kids, and do a lot of work with the schools, so I could probably
figure out how to get that education discount. My main problem is time, not
money. My productions are not that good because I don't have a lot of time
to put into them (however, I won't rule out that it might just be that I suck at
it). If Pro can do a better job than Express in the short time that I get to do
this stuff, then it's worth it. But it looks like I wouldn't use the extra features
in Pro at first glance.

Nice retro sound
Not much to say in the way of critique. I like the shape of
the song. I don't always understand the lyrics, and would
like to see them posted. Your voice reminds me of a mix
of Bowie, Roger Waters, and early Bee Gees. I'd echo
Jimmy's comment of the low level noise. I'm looking
forward to hearing more of your stuff.

Great voice!
Great writing. Would have liked to see the lyrics and some artwork. This reminds me of some of Pink Floyd's earlier stuff like "Careful with that axe Eugene". Good song structure. Like the bridge and chord changes. Excellent back ground vocals also. Well done.

Strong and present
Nice lyrics, nice delivery. Dylan-esque. Cool falsetto
harmonies. Wish you'd post lyrics. Strong tune, excellent
performances, especially vocals, rhythm guitar, bassline,
drum groove. The ending is a little weak, for such a solid
construction up until then. Love the way your voice soars
over it all, like a herald. Excellent.

Fantastic
This is a delight to listen to. Lovely song with plenty
of interesting texture, and a gorgeous voice full of
confidence. I love it. It's a very professional sounding
piece too - sounds like a lot of care has gone into it. I
look forward to hearing more of your stuff.

good mix
You've combined your excellent vocals with the guitar,
background vocals and percussion on this track very well
indeed.

I particularly liked the "latin" flavor rhythmic shifts which
came in towards the middle.

The very ending chord could have been drawn out just a
tad more.

VERY nice song and performance!
