Description
The real title of this number is "W". It is part of a collection of studies I've titled "From A to Z" -- I am NOT making a political statement with this number and didn't want to be suggesting any connection with anyone in politics...
I hope you will take your time to listen carefully. It's a rather introspective piece with some nice "fly-aways" [as I like to call them] near the end. Headphones will give you the close-up nuances of this little piano piece. Enjoy.

Pretty, Contemplative,
And then it builds in energy. Nice classic contrast between dynamic levels - your skills in getting nuances like that out of a software piano font are extraordinary.

I admire the elegant and softness flyin away here and there all around on
this piece ...certainly the piece is giving a very story telling with scheme
of brightness and wisdom ..the brilliant writing shows so deeply here ..
as the volume went up at the middle then ...topped gently with easiness ...
very much mozart way with less ornament ..a lot to tell with in simple
mellow melody ...this is so good ...thnx alot for sharin such Art !!!!

Hi Paul.....
It's another instant favourite.

Very thought provoking in a contemplative manner.

I'll have a listen through my headphones later.

Take care.

A lovely, delicate, gossamer kind of tune.
Pure loveliness, Paul. I almost had a feeling I was relaxing in the garden watching a butterfly visiting the flowers but getting caught occasionally in a stronger than normal breeze. Delightful, thanks.

Wow Paul
Is this done with Ivory!? Gosh I wish I could one: play piano, two: afford ivory!

Wow wow... There are people that can take piano and make it talk and you are certainly one of those!

Excellent Paul!

makes me wonder
about pieces A through V...

The Ivory piano sounds absolutely incredible under your sensitive hands. The melody of this piece is sweet and gentle, meandering a bit, as you say, into thoughtful fly-aways...and yet propelled unerringly forward by your excellent use of dynamics and the ebbs and flows of energy throughout your performance. pure beauty.

Really wonderful Paul

Headphones, yeh!!
On the third listen... wanting to catch all the nuances. This is the first song I've heard this morning, and it is perfect to open the day. Will the sun peek out behind the clouds? Will there be thunder? The birds are chirping before the storm comes. Ahh... the sun comes out after the storm; I see it in the notes. Too bad it goes down right afterwards. Lovely as usual, Paul.

your touch is so sublime Paul, and you write with a complexity i can only dream of. (in fact, even in my dreams i can't go there - lol!) i love your chord changes and nuanced approach to the piano generally. and i see why you call them "fly-aways" at the end, and "nice" hardly describes them! beautiful work as usual - thanks!

Paul ...
A bit late in getting here but was one my to do list when I saw it first post. After listening to so much of your work and trying to tell you how much your work touches, entertains and brings a smile I feel like the words are not nearly complete enough. As always ... downloaded and will treasure this beauty.

This is fabulous stuff, Paul. This song is well composed, well arranged, dynamic and emotional. I love the slow build to the crescendo at the middle of the piece, and then you let us down so masterfully - excellent work. I do look forward to your posts and am anxiously anticipating "x". Thank you for sharing this.

Well, Paul,
...this one manages to be both thoughtful and dynamic--and it's neat to hear that Ivory sounds big and beautiful and TOGETHER when you lean into the keys...

It also manages to combine a firm sense of structure and purpose with what feels like a touch of the improvised or elaborated...

I'm listening in my new studio area, over speakers, which I almost never do, and it sounds full, warm and clear...

A beaut clark
Great composition and of course playing. You use subtle changes in dynamics so well. A roller coaster of emotion flowing from a set of rigid keys. Dont know that I could ever do that. Soooo good.
