Description
One of my friends has been traveling to Cuba a lot over the last few year, and of course met a nice girl there... To make a long story short… they met, fell in love, and now they're married and they live together here in Norway.

Inspired of their new love and happiness I found myself playing some caribbean inspired grooves, and before I knew it this song came along.

I sent my guitar noodling over the pond and hit KTB's mailbox and asked for assistance on the keys. Thanks for adding lovely color and texture to this one John.

Hope you can feel the summer breeze:)

To Bent and Ilsia:)

Warm and delicate and lovely
this is a beautiful piece. I'd love to "noodle" so effortlessly. Nicely done and I hope your friends treasure it.
Cheers

Wonderfully
relaxing even though it has the busy guitars (played beautifully) giving the impression of lovers playing in the surf and sun.... lovely additions by KTB giving lovely depth as well. You two are a great combination, cheers M

:) Full and rich sound
I like this a lot - once again, shades of Grusin/Ritenour (Harlequin is the CD I have) in the style. Everything sounds really nicely recorded and played - John handles the keys beautifully as expected, and the guitars sound really well recorded. If I had to nominate a nit it would be that the rim shots don't always sound like they are in the right place - especially towards the end. Very minor issue though.
Great post!

Sweet
Sweet is the only word to describe this. The guitar is lovely, with lovely melodic runs that are perfectly complemented by ktb's keys. What a great combination of talents. This has sunshine radiating out of it! Very cool. Love the story behind it, too. Good luck to your friends, and I hope they're dancing to this song. Nicely done. Peace.

I really like the way this starts off
and continues . . . ! You really achieved a great depth in the reaction of the bass, rhythm guitar, lead. Of all the ones i've heard you do, I think this is my fav because it has almost a James Taylor production feel to it, in the depth parts.

I really like this pop- jazz style and think you have really gone up the latter of ear candy for me. Even though I enjoy your writing and singing. I think you really have utilized your skills quite nicely indeed here !

Way to Go !!!

Embrace
Such a warm sound. not just summer nights, but a life longing living warmth. The lead guitar embraces, swirls, and the growing strings, touch of keys, leaves me with a sense of being loved. Something from inside you, I suspect. Deeper than momentary romance. Wonderful collab.

I love your playing on this, thoddi....
...this is just the sort of acoustic lead playing that I really enjoy... A few shades of Acoustic Alchemy, although more of a touch of the blues... I like hearing you take chances, and I like the varying guitar textures as you dig in... Your phrasing is sweet and suits the groove... And you sure chose the master keyboard-add-er in these here parts...

Gratefully heading for the iPod...

Dang Thor, this is some super acoustic guitar work. Not to mention a great chord progression as well

and John's support is right in the groove and compliments the song extremely well.

Noodling???
really Thor noodling???... I really love seeing this side of you... killer... and John this is no less than I've come to expect from you...

the man at the reataurant told the waiter "there's a needle in my soup"... the waiter told the man "I'm sorry that's a typo, that was supposed to be a noodle"

not nearly as good as the noodles you serve up...

everything you touch Thor... good as gold

Paying the dues...
Man this is a beautiful peice the two of you have worked up. Your efforts always tend to give way more than physics might allow, Thor. I thought for sure that I had commented on this the other day when I walked away with a copy as if I had deserved to. John always always makes my innards melt down towards the goodness of being... Totally dign the latin spice on this. Not an easy one to tangle with. That alone would have closed the deal for me, but with the two of you pushing it, ya could have overpriced of and I'd've wanted two just in case, ya know... I've listened to it way more times then you might've allowed and that doesn't happen often enough, I say.

Thanks to both yaz, for hanging it out. Beautiful work. Truly Dion
