Description
So what do you get when, one early afternoon, you sit with this young friend you met in a park, who studies classical guitar, and he starts playing those riffs he came up with over which - after hitting the 'record' button - you start to improvise ?

Well, you'll know soon.

Enjoy.

Nice jam. The collaboration between the two guitars works like a well oiled machinery.

Great Jam
sounds like you meant to do it. I love your soloing style. You have a style similar to oscar lopez on this one. Isn't he from your neck of the woods?

My neck of woods
No, just heard some of his stuff and he's obviously more Spanish than me ! And better at it too. My playing is more of a cross-breed. If anyone, I'd say McLaughlin gave me a taste for phrases of this genre - not that he's limited to that either. And really, I came to soloing late - I've been more into picking and chords - and feel that only in the recent years it's been slowly coming to a degree of maturity. Soloing. . . is a whole universe in itself.

Nice
I'm a chord picker trying to get to grips with lead lines too - seems you are getting the hang of it - this is great!
Did you try panning the guitars to pull them apart a bit in the mix. They sound both in the middle to me - just a nit pick on a great post.
All the best
Steve

Too late
Nothing much I could do about it - it was recorded using a single condenser mic placed off center right between us. It really was a spontaneous move in the middle of an afternoon's jam that made me put the mic up and hit record.

Thanks for listening and dropping a line, Steve.

Everyone should hear this!
It's acoustic music without borders; I'd call it trance-like except for the way it inspires more, not less focus and conscious/active listening. I'm in awe, as should all of us be who are too often constrained by the trappings of Western rock/pop conventions. A breath of fresh air.
