Description
Up-Tempo Rock Song kinda Springsteen meets the Wallflowers. This song is dear to me because I wrote it the night I talked my rommmate out of his desire to commit suicide.
As it would happen, he really loved this song and often he'd sit with me, sing along, and play a conga drum, while I played it at my street venue along Pine Avenue in Long Beach, CA.

Lyrics
The sky cracked open, an’ the rain poured down-but will it wash my pain away;
I met an old friend, that I didn’t know-and we both had nuthin’ to say.
My life kept on rollin’, nearly passed me by-seemed like the end was near;
Little Red Engine started fallin’ behind-the view ain’t so good from the rear.
Well, you might as well take it on faith, and you might as well give it a try;
You might as well reach out and turn the page, might as well look it in the eye-
And you might as well kiss me goodbye...
Ya see now honey, you had your day-but I think it’s time for a change;
You pushed me too far, it turned around-now you’re a little bit out-a your range.
Well, I ain’t gonna play by your rules no more;
It’s my time baby, gonna even the score.
So how do you feel trapped in your own lie?
You ain’t gonna fool me with that tear in your eye-
You know; you might as well kiss me goodbye...
Well look at that buddy, now here’s the Sun-to reach out and take my hand;
Better days are comin’, if ya keep believin’-you’re more than a grain of sand...
Now in the driver’s seat I take my place-and take a final look around;
I glance up into the rear-view mirror-that’s the best way to look at this town...
Well, you might as well take it on faith, you might as well give it a try.
You might as well reach out and turn the page, might as well look it in the eye-
And you might as well kiss me goodbye...
...might as well kiss me goodbye...
