Turn Down the Guitars The guitars, in my opinion, are really way too loud. The cover up everything else that may be going on, and when they stop playing there is more underneath that is worthy of being heard. I think that you start to set up a really cool sounding sort of melancholic groove, although it never seems to fully develop into anything. Also there seems to be a point in the middle with no sound. Perhaps you intended it that way, but I am unsure why. I also think that the drums could stand to come up in the mix. I am also unsure of where the relationship to the "Shining" comes into play. Perhaps you could elaborate more on this in your song description. Thanks for sharing. |

Turn Down the Guitars Thanks for your input, this is "G" from HGB, and "Here's Johnny" is my least favorite song we do. So I can understand most of your comments. I'm wondering if your getting the full song, does it come out of both speaker's? The reference to "The Shinning" is the overall dark sound to this piece. & it also reminded us of the part in the movie when Jack N. was chasing the little boy through the maze at the end of the movie. Please listen to IDMWSDTM,Mesa, Tobacco Road, or Shitty Pig Lips, a couple of our better efforts, thanks, and you can use your name, we understand not everyone's musical interest's are the same.-HGB --- HGB Check out my latest song called Tobbaco Road(Updated Live Version)
