Searching (Emeria song)

My goodness! It's been almost a month since I posted a song! Life has just been insane for many reasons, not including shelling out tracks left and right. This is the latest from Emeria - my music project with Adam Amos.

I'm not going to tell you what the lyrics mean to me and what inspired me to write the song. I like to leave that open to the listener.
I'm also not sure what genre this is, exactly. It's different than other tracks I've done. If you have any ideas, please let me know!

Smooth and intense
This really sucked me in from the very beginning. It gives a nice "lost in the woods" feel and sets a nice tone for the entire track. The lush sound of your vocals, not just in the beginning, but throughout the track, make this a very nice listen. Very nice lyrics. I look forward to listening to more of your work!

Very, very impressive. Pure vocals, dynamic musicality, smooth sounds, well mixed, and great lyrics! This is an all around fantastic track on so many levels! So glad I found this.

From Kitty (our 14 yr old vocalist)
Kitty just had a listen to this. First thing she said was 'Wow, she's pretty" so, there's that :)
Second, well basically she's very impressed. She equated you to Evanescence (which I can hear, but your voice is way better, and the choices your partner made for production is as well). So, bare in mind, a 14 y.o. who loves that band putting you as "better than Evanescence" is probably the biggest compliment you can get!
I must buy your album, please let me know when it's out!

THANK YOU! I've listened to the latest song you have posted and I must say, I'm impressed with her voice. I need to comment...

I've often been told I need to do Evanescence type of music, I just don't know if I can pull it off. But we do have one in the works that's quite similar in style.

Right now we're just trying to get as many tracks done as possible so we have the best tracks to pick from for the album. I hope it will be done by the end of the year. :)

I really like the overall feel of this - quite mystical.
The production and performance is really great. I'm curious about the drums - loops?

HA! So I asked Adam about the drums and asked if they were loops, and he said, "Not quite." Whatever that's supposed to mean. ;)

This is a wonderful Song Lori
I just love to listen to your voice, and this song is no exception to that. In this case not only is you voice at it's usual excellence, but so to are the lyrics and the music.

I can understand not having the download button enabled, especially if the song isn't registered with the Copyright office, but I would really love having this on my iPod to listen to again over time. Instead, I will FAV this page and come back from time to time to have another listen.

Love your work Lori and that of Mr. Amos, thank you for posting this.

This is outstanding ...this is an absolute genuine work reminds me ..of
the creative andrew loyd weber musical ...the vocal itself so honest and

This is Intense
A lot of emotion here. Makes me think of a child growing up without a parent for some reason. Genre? I think it falls squarely in the music category.

I have gone 2 months without posting..busy busy busy. So I understand. Very nice tune. At first I thought it was going to be a classical piece. But then it ending up in a dance feel. Very nice. I would call it a dance song. With an intro.

Better than Lacuna Coil
This is sort of thing Lacuna Coil should be producing - that great balance between your fantastic voice and the rock background is stunning. I like the string stabs and the drums are great. Are they loops or played? Cool track.

I asked Adam again what he does, and he uses percussion software. He won't go into any more detail than that. :) And wow - thanks for that compliment! Lacuna Coil is the BOMB!
