Description
a few things are new.

to my song: BEI DIR posted SJB: ......english versions... give it a go..

so i did. not an english version, but for the first time i took time to try to translate the lyrics. i´m sure its bad. but maybe its good enough to give you a feeling, what i mostly write and sing about.

for the first time i tried to arrange some strings... especially in the short middle-part.

the song is about memories and the minor difficulties to find your position in it.
the song is dedicated to bob mould.... and (maybe :-) a girl.........

btw: wolfsburg is the town where VW comes from.

Lyrics
now, if i stay here

it is a strange feeling
and it is so rarely....

because you raise questions

inside of me

are only terminals,
deserted breakpoints
and waiting rooms
where i miss the opportunity
to write some lines to you
( here so close to the tracks....
......where everything can go wrong......)

Attention! while the train pull into the station....
towards wolfsburg
and further westwards
the sun goes down
...... it goes never under....

(.. sms.... not receive ?...)

what becomes of our memories
if we can not get away of here?
this place belongs to the future
better this way than the other way around

this doesn't make us afraid...
only a little affected
it spares ourself a lot
primarily:: to hope

CHORUS:

Our position is well-rounded
( Come on: let us adore..)
it is a place for rebellion
and a place for human warmth ...

"life and times" by bob mould
since 7. April in stores
and I can look forward to a few tears
I forgot: WHY?

and the call of time: COME GET READY went unheard
because no one is interested in the fact
that we do not belong here

because we are exactly.....
....like no one look upon us as we are....

if you and I get through
we´ll roll through
......for sure.......

Nice beats
I really like the bass lines. The timing is very nice, also the intimacy of the vocals. Enjoyed!

Das is gut

I like the strings in the middle.
The translated lyrics may not be the actual words but look pretty good to me.
Nice laid back 'thoughtful' feel to this. Contemplative as if on a journey on a train looking out of the window
Lovely stuff

like it
nice melodic acoustic song. like the bob mould shout-out!
the piano and guitar go together really well.
the string part was good but to me, it's not the nicest-sounding software instrument.
However, that's my only nitpick... good song!!

Like a lot of your songs, I get a sense of place (not just Germany, but a sense that each song is rooted in some geographical location. An Australian band - The Waifs - did this really well in "London Still". Obviously, in this case, your title gives the game away, but I get it in other songs too.

As you know, I really enjoy your songs and your style, and this is no exception.

Nicht schlecht Herr Specht!

Danke. And hello Neil.
... i´m back from youtube, where i stayed for the last 15min. i had to listen to The Waifs. 3X...... the last few lines of this song::
I wonder what I'm missing
I think of songs I've never heard
I'm dreaming of your voices
And I'm dreaming of your herb....

i like thoughts like this. the song is beautiful. very natural.

thank you very much for your tip and that you stopped by to listen to "Wolfsburg".
have a nice day.

Really like your song, there's great sincerity in your voice. Brilliant arrangement, as has been said, bass is perfect, love those fallen notes.

ganz schön schwere kost,
aber ein schönes lied ist es trotzdem! :)

aber was muß mir "schwere kost" bedeuten......?

also abschließend & nochmal: danke. olaf

Really pleased
to have found this Olaf via our mutual fondness of Brian D.
I am really enjoying this song - it has a real theatrical feel to it. I love the instrumentation, your vocal and the very, very impressive production. You have found a new fan.
Downloaded. Thanks.
Cheers

Sometimes I...
...listen to a few tunes, then comment on them. Especially, when I find a new artist I like. I wasn't just blowing wind. I'm a new fan of yours. I hope I can find the time to look closer in your catalog later.
