Joys of Spring!
Hi - really glad you liked it.

There are actually some words that go with the melody, but they are so out of synth with the feeling of the piece, I've never bothered trying to fit them in.

Cheers - JC

Very Cheerful
Fairly bounds along with joy in it's heart. Not sure if it is ambient though.

Ambient?
Glad it worked for you too....

I know it's not really ambient, but I couldn't work out what catagory it really did fit into.

Can you suggest something more appropriate (that exists in the drop down menu of 'Submit'?!!

Cheers - JC

How about
Electropop or pop (alternative) or even holiday. I know these are a bit boring, but it is hard song to catagorise.

Ah - Electropop?
Yes - maybe that's it. I thought that category sounded a bit 80's - but there again I have a feeling the guitar part is inspired by an old Chesney Hawkes track - so your first instinct is probably right!

Very springy!
Very enjoyable tune. Sounds like you might have overquantised the lead instruments a little - seems a little jerky through being too closely tied to the beat, but otherwise, a really nice spring theme.

Good ears :-)
Hi,

Yup - you're right - but if anything it's probably under quantization :-)

The basic rhythm is a couple of GB loops - then some lines played on a keyboard under these.

I think that I've never bothered to quantize the input lines - maybe I should try that over the lnog weekend and see if it makes any difference.

Thanks for reminding me that it is definately 'unfinished' :-)

Cheers - JC
