Lyrics
I Used to Talk About Pythagorus

You
take my mind
you
make me blind
we're a lot like
philosophers in jail
we have all kinds of conversations
and we tell each other tales
Youuuuu
think as well as Socrates
but
really I think you're just a tease

I used to talk about Pythagorus
I used to make such an intellectual fuss
I could speak to the nature of reality
but since I met you you loved all of that out of me

the body is my science now
my philosophy is love
nobody tells me anything I can't find out
in between the sheets
of paper of course
I'm just like James Joyce

Go as Nietsche
I think he'd like to meet me

love it
The cool sounds that makes the groove is very tasty put together. The way you almost speak the lyrics gives it a cool laid-back feel.

I Used To Talk About Pythagorus
Best known for his math, of course, yet his philosophy has quite the following. Great tune, very 'open book' of you to write, thank you for sharing!

Pythagorus
I once had a dream I was shown all the secrets of the Universe... illustrated by a close up of a stringed instrument... then I read Pythagorus created a droning instrument which... basically created the sound of the Universe (in Sanskrit known as Aum)... I can't find anything about it now, but it did draw me to Pythagorus for a time...

Nice one Ra...
Wonder who would set such a stoic task.... some pretentious snob I'll warrant... and what's a song without a crass shagging reference? They obviously don't know marketing....

Impressive, R!!!
THIS is a great tune! LOVED the lyrics and the music was great as well. You've mentioned most of the 'greats' in this track. Fantastic to hear the brainier side of your musical talents. I love the fun side too; don't get me wrong. If I could double fave this one, I would! You are just so creative! :^)

This song is really really funny
As well as clever and intriguing-sounding. I picked this randomly from your back catalogue because I liked the title: I'm very happy I did! There are some priceless lines here. I love the extended metaphor, and your delivery is perfect.
