Description
As a kid growing up in a small town, one of the highlights of summer was when the Carnival came to town. Sounds and sights of a summer night.

Lyrics
Big Ferris wheel lights up the summer sky
The dizzy whirl of people passing by
Carousel plays a tin-pan alley tune
Shrieks and laughter, cotton candy, and popped balloons
We’re almost there… the velvet air
A mullet-haired boy in line with his goth-eyed girl
They’re buying tickets on the Tilt-A-Whirl
Midway barkers hawking out games of chance,
You can hear the pedal steel driftin’ in from the country dance
Wood chips on the muddy ground all wet with beer
As the halter top girls pass by all the bikers leer,
A lost boy cries and rubs his eyes
Neon streaking by in a pinwheel blur
Another spin on the Tilt-A-Whirl
Steppin’ over babies to find a good spot at last
Lyin’ on their backs on a blanket in the cool wet grass
Fireworks burst overhead like acetylene
Flowers of crimson, gold and candy green
Blossom there in the black night air
Over on the blanket, the mullet boy and girl
Take another ride on the Tilt-A-Whirl
The dizzy whirl of people passing by
Carousel plays a tin-pan alley tune
Shrieks and laughter, cotton candy, and popped balloons
We’re almost there… the velvet air
A mullet-haired boy in line with his goth-eyed girl
They’re buying tickets on the Tilt-A-Whirl
Midway barkers hawking out games of chance,
You can hear the pedal steel driftin’ in from the country dance
Wood chips on the muddy ground all wet with beer
As the halter top girls pass by all the bikers leer,
A lost boy cries and rubs his eyes
Neon streaking by in a pinwheel blur
Another spin on the Tilt-A-Whirl
Steppin’ over babies to find a good spot at last
Lyin’ on their backs on a blanket in the cool wet grass
Fireworks burst overhead like acetylene
Flowers of crimson, gold and candy green
Blossom there in the black night air
Over on the blanket, the mullet boy and girl
Take another ride on the Tilt-A-Whirl
