Description
Well, basically I haven't posted anything for quite a while, so now I'm doing a special-super-deluxe double post! I havent had time to do serious recording for ages, as studies and other bandprojects have take up what little time I've got;) So I'm now going to post two quick recordings I've done. They might not be as 'polished' as things I've posted before, but abit more in the 'spur of the moment!'

First off, Spellbound. This is a track I've had buzzing in my head for ages, following my obsession for 60 garagerock and the british invasion bands. Recorded in a rush, without thinking about the bumnotes or slightly messed up timing. Keep it raw and simple;) Also borrowed a friends vintage 50s tape-recorder-cum-tube-amp, which gave the guitars a cool sound. And not to speak of his Les Paul with Bigsby for some vibrato action! Yeah!

Lyrics
Spellbound:

Been spellboundby you
You knock me out and into the blue
Spin round, I'm spellbound!

Got new shoes and a fancy suit
The night is young and I got nothing to loose
So spin me round, I'm spellbound

Don't you know I tried
Lord I tried to tie her down
Don't you know I tried
Girl I tried to the you down

Been spellboundby you
You knock me out and into the blue
Spin round, I'm spellbound!

Don't you know I tried
Lord I tried to tie her down
Don't you know I tried
Girl I tried to the you down

I can definitely hear the 60s garage rock. I like the slightly spaced feel.
Nice listening.

I have a hard time believing you recently recorded this. I think you found this tattered album in a bin somewhere and it was so obscure that you posted it as your own.

Authentic sound, bumnotes and all. Again your vocals help create the illusion of 60's garage.

I wonder what cjdaley thinks of this sound?

Spellbound
Staggers and jumps in the right places finally falling apart just right at the end. Antipop delivered on demand on this tune. A garageband sound without the fuzz coming by to close the party down.

Underground. Must be the welsh air being by the sea. The only thing missing is over use of a pan control.

This takes me back...
...as I am a child of the 60's. Not polished, but great fun none the less!

Rock on bro!

Be well!

quite a nugget
i can imagine this with some drum action, but as is, there's quite an atmopshere to it,a slight acid buzz from the vibrato.
