This is the first off a series of "releases" i'm calling 1st Takes.
This is a song sung by my friend Tom who stopped by to say hello. I was just getting to know garageband at the time and Tom and I had made music together in what seems like a long time ago. I showed the program to him, set him up and he busted out with this great track! This is the first take! I was astounded. I had not even realized Tom had kept up with his chops. It was great to be there at that moment, and then to hear that the recording came out well was perfect. Tom's playing and singing were fantastic, and the quality of the recording blew me away. For an on board mic to capture that performance like it did was amazing. I realized how much fun having this little program was going to be.
Thanks to Tom for what I feel was an outstanding performance.
p.s. not sure if Tom wrote these words and tune, but will find out

Sounds somewhat like a 1st take.. interesting to hear the past however. The tune and the words to that song had been coming together over the couple months or so before I saw you that night. It's improved a good deal over the last few years, we may have to try for a 2nd take.
