Description
All synths all the time. This is from last year. It's been sitting around waiting for guitar, but it's beyond me. So I decided to send it on its way. Just me having some very noisy proggy type fun.

Wot no guitar.
But, it is still a Reggie Pole signature tune with all those fine and compelling timings and skilled technical ability. The usual perfect sound quality. Leading up to that change at 0.17 is stunning following the drums. 2.11 and another amazing tempo flip, man you are the man for these arrangements. The perfectionists musician. I reckon you could become a sound engineer, it feels like you have the aptitude, ear and patience for it. What a ride, quite upbeat with lots of light created by those beautiful keys and pads. Drums and bass, are excellent, you must spend an age making them flow like that.

Top draw stuff. Never a dull moment, this reminds me of the calm before the an electrical storm. Look the audience is getting ready for your band to kick off. Didn't have you down as a coke salesman though, but i suppose maybe back in those days it might have had the real thing still lurking around amongst the fizz.

Ha.
This kind of coke is of the -a-cola variety, surely one of the crowning achievements of modern civilization. So glad that you enjoyed my descent into rhythmic indulgence, Steve. The guitar parts were unimaginable to me. I just had to abandon the whole idea and go with what was here. Thanks again.

Well both you and Steve
know what you are talking about. Synths, keys and pads..Oh, My. I just love the way it sounds. Thanks.

Well you're half right --- Steve DOES know what he's talking about. I just fake it. Thanks for coming by.

Wonderful work
A great composition in the genre. I was wondering. . .
Where and what type of guitar
you heard in it. . .

In any case
thanks !

Boundless ...
love that name. First, thanks for listening and commenting. When I first started this (ages ago it seems) I was thinking electric guitar and modern King Crimson -- Fripp playing some of the more pronounced parts that the Opposync synth is working here, Belew adding some long-sustain screams here and there. Many times I have started in that direction but been diverted by (1) new ideas (2) the reality that I am not Fripp or Belew, The synths started as placeholders, but gradually took the whole thing over, and the guitar idea started to fade away. Maybe next time. Thanks again.

I've used that same hardware
but the results were nothing like this. Shades of Jean Luc Ponty...it's getting louder in here.

This rocks! Final listen of the day. Nice choice, thanks. My ears can barely keep up.

Too many notes.
Not that I am Mozart. This is what happens when you drink too many Cokes. I very much appreciate your interest in this. Very nice comments. And yes, it is very noisy.

Hi Wummimann
Well, coming from an insane musical genius (as you have been called!), that is quite a compliment. Just want you to know that your work has inspired me. Your recent adventures with radical chord changes have knocked me out, and I will try to keep up with you in the future. Small chance of that, but it's worth the effort.

WOW!
Rush meets Yes meets Dream Theater meets Reggie_Pole. This is incredible! So stylistic of your signature and perfectionism. Love the keyboard switch hitting. Compelling piece of art BRO! Everything is mixed to utter perfection. You need to fly out and give me some pointers! Great job D.

Some of my favorites there.
If only. Thanks for your compliment on the mix. As you know, of course, it's easier to mix instruments-in-a-box than live instruments. They almost mix themselves. I appreciate your kind comments, John. Talk atcha later.

It rocks indeed ...very complicated and well arranged ...really felt like
the golden age of the prog here ...the keys just works so well .. trippy ...
ELP revisited ...thnx alot for sharin !!!!

Hi, Feter.
Very nice of you to come by and listen. Not nearly as complicated as ELP, and it's not always clear that complicating music is a good idea. Always an experiment.

Bruford.
Ah, I would give up one of my vital organs to have the talent that he has in his little finger. Besides, he actually has to hit those things himself. I can't imagine that level of coordination. Thanks very much, sir. I always value your comments.

Hi, Mark.
Hey, thanks for coming by. Glad you liked it. As for the guitar, I was planning some swaps. It just got too messy, and my imagination kind of petered out. But you're right. There's no room for guitar as is.

How on earth do you create those wonderful drums?

It's good to know that you like the drums, since they usually take up most of the time involved. But I like messing with drums, so I do. Addictive Drums, as always. Thanks!

Wow Reggie...
Crazy cool and still enough room left for it to breathe nicely. Even after a 6 pack of Coke you need room for a few burps... Really awesome stuff here. I don't often listen to much progressive music but glad I listened to this one and also glad I am finding my way back to MacJams. Listening to work like this makes me want to start writing again although I can't touch this kind of work. Love it, thanks for sharing it :D

Well, it's good to have you here. I need to go listen to more of your work. I thought your recent guitar piece was fantastic. So glad you stopped by and dropped a comment, even though this isn't your kinda thing.

Successful
The story here is very clear and clever production. The ideas are longish, challenging for my ADHD but worth the effort.

Ov' course, your ideas are small, and it takes a long time to get them a decent workout, how silly of me to misunderstand. You are correct for the times my friend. "Viva Le France," or something.

Superlative
You're in my playlist with, say, Rick Wakeman (on Yes' crazier parts, as in Relayer) and maybe some Tony Banks (of some of the instrumentals on Trick of the Tail (if that's not heresy to you as more of a Gabriel-era guy as I am). Good lawdy, how'd it take this long for me to find you here? Superlative buzz going on here.

Oh, now we're talking
Yes? Genesis? My heroes. Let's not get carried away though. Those guys are untouchable. I am more of a Gabriel-era fan, but Trick of the Tail is still a master work. And unlike the rest of the prog-consuming universe, Relayer is my favorite Yes album (Pat Moraz on keyboards for that one btw). Very nice to meet another prog fan. I appreciate your comments.

Yeah boy!
Kick ass drums and full on synth-madness!

Too bad about the guitar. But this holds up quite well as is Reggie.

Playing is great throughout. Production is fantastic!

Enjoyed!

Be well friend!

Really cool prog mix
great drums and excellent changes. This easily could have sat in a groove as a dance track but you took to a lot different places. Obviously you're into the journey as much as the groove. Nice bass work and classic high end synth madness.

That bass line/sound is brutal. Sounds great with those playful synths, and I do mean PLAY-FULL!

Very energetic and satisfying.

Hi FEA.
All synths .. yeah, well, that's something a little different for me. That's what happens when I get ideas messing around with Logic instead of while playing my guitar. Glad you liked it. Take care.
