Description
I lost my Dad to Cancer on St. Patricks Day in 2005. I was feeling pretty low and wanted to express the feeling as music. I didn't rehearse this or have any idea what was going to come out.
I am not that great of a guitar player but what came out was this song and it was done on the first take. I did a second track with a backward tape effect to give it the feel that we are left with. I have never tried to play it again but when I miss him I play this song. I played it for a girl I had just met that told me she had lost her Mother to cancer as well and she wept when she heard it. I had kept her email address which she gave me and sent her a copy a few months ago. She emailed me back a thank you and told me that she cried again but in a good way.
I decided to share this song with the MacJams Community and hope some of you enjoy it. Feel free to share it with others .
Sincerely,
Grant
