Description
This is a test song. The first time I've tried to sing and my first song up with garageband. Please leave criticism so I know what I can do to make it better. I'm not sure I'm cutout for singing :P the lyrics just came all at once so I didn't analyze them at all. They're probably lame but what ya gonna do.
I used a Shure SM57 to record the guitar amp (Peavy Bandit 112), bass amp (Peavy Microbass), and vocals. The drums are garageband. The guitar is a two hundred dollar Cort. The bass (shown in picture) is home made and borrowed from fellow macjammer Elevator_Funk.

Lyrics
I've been thinking,
about you
what am I gonna do
we've been talking now
about how
we're gonna make this...feel new
we've been on the road
to where I don't know
whether we're gonna stop...or go
you've got me strapped in
I don't know how to begin
to untie the knots...of you
you come home late at night
poised and ready to fight
you can't say that's not...true
about you
what am I gonna do
we've been talking now
about how
we're gonna make this...feel new
we've been on the road
to where I don't know
whether we're gonna stop...or go
you've got me strapped in
I don't know how to begin
to untie the knots...of you
you come home late at night
poised and ready to fight
you can't say that's not...true

It sounded way better than I expected, and I like the tone of your voice. For your first song ever with vocals it's not too bad, you'll only get better. Keep doing it. You should re-record the guitar part with the 57 right next to the amp so that it doesn't pick up so much of the room noise also turn up the bass, and then double your vocals. Nice one.
