Whoo whoo, I am first
I like what you did with this Bill, but most of all the picture of you and Mark outside the studio is priceless.

Mark did some unusual stuff on this to begin with, and what you added just made it that much better my friend

Great job Bill

Ed

LOL - well you're both so CUTE!! yes, that mark can REALLY play, and your drums and bass here are fabulous Bill. I just love this kind of beat - every change is so interesting and kicks it up a notch. Great work from you both!

thanks, Feter
One of the hard things about adding rhythm tracks to an existing track especially if you play no instruments (which I don't) is matching the tempo. Mark is very consistent with his tempo and that makes it a lot easier. One of the things I personally like about this collaboration is that in some places the rhythm of the guitars and the bass and drum do drift apart but then come back together. It gives the whole piece a more live feel as if 4 guys are playing together.

Nicely done....
Just enough and not too much... doesn't "over-busy" the original, put rather brings its strong points forward... And quite a piece to go in on something where the 'top' is already complete and build a structure under that supports without sounding stiff or constrained or like an awkward add-on... This really comes alive this way...

Folks probably already figured this out, but Mark's MacJams name is 'Ibstrat'... that first letter's an 'I', as in 'Ibanez Stratocaster', which is what he plays...

I never thought about it
I like the fact that Marks handle here is open to two interpretations. One is the explanation you give and the other is that it is LB strat as in "pound" strat. Either one works for me.

Thanks for your kind comments. My goal was to be as a good rhythm section should be, i.e. interesting enough to listen to, but not stealing the spotlight.

It is the angle at which the photo was taken (a crane shot) that makes us look that short. ;)

Thanks for the download etc.
