Description
Just a little Guitar blues number, nothing special about it, but I wanted to share it with you.

The only loops in this one is the drums, and some custom made loops I did for the Bass lines

Am I too late
for the Big Valley Jamboree! I was hoping to play this one on stage there too, unless of course it's rained out.

Thanks Sheila, glad you like this one. I was just messing with a blues Bass line and of course after I got that part sounding good I just had to lay down some keys and guitar on it. It took me longer to get the Bass and Drums right than it did to do the rest of the song.

Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the kind words my friend, see you at the Jamboree.

Ed

Soon as I pull the Beaver
out of the hangar and get it fueled up, I'll be there. By road it's 1922 miles and 1 day 6 hours time to Edmonton via I29, but in the Beaver it's only about 1500 and maybe 10 or 11 hours with fuel stops. Yeah, I can make it by morning if the weather holds off a little, see ya there Sheila !

This is gonna be fun ;-)

Just a little messing around on the old ax Jack,
nothing to get excited about for sure. But I figure since I was having so much fun I might as well share with Y'all. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the great comments Jack

Thanks Feter
Glad you liked my little indulgence. This started out as an exercise in how to make my own loops from midi work I was doing on the keyboard bass. It was a Bass line to begin with, but then I added some drums to it and laid down all the guitars parts and some Rhodes piano live onto it.

More fun than I've got right to expect, but here it is in all its laid back easy on the ears glory. (or what ever you want to call it)

Glad you listened, even happier that you enjoyed it my friend. Thanks again for coming by. Be well and be cool Feter,

Ed

Yeah, and I'm off my meds too, Jack
But I have fun waking up in a new world every day, with new friends, a new job, and all these new instruments to play around with. It's really great being me. ( ;-0 )

Thanks for the kind words Jack. I'm really please you liked the sound on this one. Had a lot of fun putting this one together, but I wanted it to be as much my work as I could possibly make it. That's why I stayed away from the loops on this one, except for the drums and the Bass part which I built by remaking one Bass loop into about 8 parts.

Anyway, thanks for listening, and the kind words.

Be well my friend,

Ed

I'm not sure who said it,
but some famous guitar player once said something to the effect that, "It's not how many notes you play, it the soul you put into those notes that counts"

Now I'm not saying I've got soul mind you, but I do love to try and make that guitar talk in Slo motion, if you get my drift. It doesn't alway come out that way, but sometimes I just get in the groove and surprise myself as well as a lot of other people.

Thanks for listening Michael, and for the very kind comments on East Blues.

Be well and enjoy your summer up there in Minneapolis,

Ed

PLenty special about this one if you ask me. Love the slowhand guitar approach, expressive notes given room to breathe. Sweet. Very nice groove, and a really perfect song for the vibe I'm looking for right now! Very cool. Keep messing around, my friend! Nicely done. Peace.

Ya know, I started to call this Easy Blues, but made a typo when I typed the name. I was gonna fix it but then thought about it and said no. If this is what it wants to be called, so be it. My muse knows where it is better than I do.

Thanks for listening David. I'm glad it fit you mood. Thanks again for the kind words my friend,

Thank you Bob
I never have, and never will consider myself a "Great Guitar Player". To me, that should be reserved for those who really can play their instrument well all the time. I am very flattered that you would say that, and I do appreciate the thought.

The only thing I can say about my playing is that I feel the music and love the sounds. When I can make my hands do something that conveys those feelings and sounds I feel very fortunate. More often than not it doesn't happen that way.

But never the less, when it works and others enjoy my efforts I am gratified by their acceptance of my work, as I am by you very kind comments my friend. The blues are special to me too, so when I finally get one right, I'm happy about it to a fault.

Thanks again for for listening Bob, and for you gracious comments. Be well and be cool,

Ed

Thanks Chris
I was chillin' when I did this one.

I wanted to do it all, but with no drums, I reverted to loops for those, and the bass too. All the rest was my knackered old SY99 keyboard doing the keys, the Ibanez Strat copy, and a somewhat unusual guitar, a Takamine GX200 Solid body electric, trading lead and rhythm duties. The Tak sounds more like a Les Paul than anything else, most likely because of the through neck and the humbuckers.

Glad you liked it, even if you do/don't chill.

Be well my friend and be cool,

Ed
