technicolour! &mdash 12/14/04 - 06:13:12 AM
very very cool guitar work. accesible and yet very original.
Love the whirly way the guitar solo winds up - made me
feel like a little insect getting sucked up by a mower.
Awesome chorus. Great vocal delivery. Kinda The Cure
and kinda Tears for Fears. A while back a saw a forum
post for "best opening line of a song" well I must say, this
song sure could have been a candidate for that category.
Great stuff!
Rock Onward.

epic, whimsy, invention, brilliance &mdash 12/14/04 - 07:09:07 AM
such smooth playing, truly awesome. with shades of brilliant drama in the arrangement. great prog rock, epic and whimsy and invention and anarchistic tongue-in-cheek. but songs about hurting animals, especially the kind that might some day be princes... couldn't catch all the words, so maybe post lyrics? (i may have missed that the little animals win in the end.) the vocals effects kind of bugged me, from the frog's point of view, and i wished you could have just sung without the sound of being in a can, because i really liked the energy and delivery. free yourself: less effects would have moved me more, and i was already moving quite a bit! truly great guitar soloing.

I think the animals win (in all the right ways) &mdash 12/14/04 - 12:09:48 PM
I get what Suz is saying about the vocals. This is a great
piece, unique, Crimson like, grows in exciting ways and I
will revisit it several times to listen again. But the drums
(especially the snare) sound like they're in a different
space than the guitars, and the vocals also seem in a
different space, confined in this frustrating way, but only
in the first choruses when you are singing louder (is there
a different effect there?). The stylized way you sing, and
that wild thing you do in the last verse, all fits into this
very unique thing you've done. By the end, everything fits
into the sound you've crafted. And, my, what a great
guitar solo. With a great build to it and a great fade out of
it. Nice ending. Very cool track.

thanks for the compliments, guys. it's just a rough mix for
our new album, so we'll definitely take into account all
your criticism especially with making everything mesh
together. thanks again.

very mid-period Cure. interesting song, some great
instrumentation. the guitar solos are very virtuoso-esque
-- almost to a fault, though. but pretty nice. enjoyed.

Love the raw feel &mdash 03/20/05 - 09:31:24 PM
Cool...wish the levels weren't so hot on some of it. Let me
know if you re-record it...if you can...like to add it to the
list for the show.
