some finger pickin', some hybrid pickin' & some strummin'

I laid down the music tracks to this a couple weeks ago. then walked away from it as I started working on another song. I wasn't sure when I would get back it. Then I started thinking "well I walked away from that one". Just those words gave me the idea for the lyrics.

I had the drums up & down. though i did like them up, but they became a bit more dominating. but thinking about it now i might of been able to squeeze them up in a few spots. 	Thanks Ed A little Beatle influence can go a long way. I wasn't even noticing it until I was at the final mix stage. Not much for vocal effects really. putting the guitars down was pretty easy. 2 where the picking and two where for strumming. Some strong panning really makes them give off a full sound. It did take some time on weaving levels for them though. The solo was a second take, when I ran out of words. It was easier then trying to come up with a few more lines.

hey dude this is a great listen - production is perfect - love the sound on the acoustic - each string sounds distinct, nice and fat and round. your voice sounds great too - not so much effect on it this time around? Has a breathy quality that I haven't heard before - a cool 70's AM vibe. great solo too btw.

	hey love the ascending melody in the chorus. This could be a Revolver era track. Psychedelic, but not out of this world. More "I'm Only Sleeping" than "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds", but still psychedelic... and still very good. Sounds full, but also like you held back a bit. It's good to hear the softer side of Vic! I come in through the back door
every once in a while I put a mellow one out. This one hasn't been sitting around for too long. A couple weeks. Thinking up a lyric idea takes some tie these days. Once I have an idea then it they get written down pretty fast. I started and almost finished another one but knew I had to come back to this or it would sit for a long time.

I do have a older song So So (I think) that's acoustic and being to tired an sleepy.

I really like this tune. I find myself leaning towards you as you sing this one so softly and, well, beautifully. It's a very warm and inviting vocal style.

That little lead is pretty awesome.

Excellent sound on this one. Definitely one of your best this year, and you've had quite a few "bests" this year.

	I love the string movement, what I mean is how you skip down the neck of your guitar. The runs on the bass and they very confident singing, placed all in the right spots. Could identify with lyrics, as many will Vic....I think about 1/4 of the way thru...the Beatles popped into my mind, a result of a combination of your voice, guitar and the flow of the song, as well as the songwriting.... I liked how this song came into being... thanks for sharing your gift...
did like the drums...I thought they were in there, then somewhere later in the song I didn't hear them...I'll listen again and turn my volume up maybe!
