Hey Ren...
You used to be in Horslips right? Ha ha...

This reminds me a little of their take on King Of The Fairies. Nicely done!

Be well friend!

No...

That is the sound I was going for, so thanks for letting me know I actually hit my target this time. *grin*

Your cello (?)...
...has a really interesting timbre to it: VERY woody...and unique. Maybe it's the percussion, but the tune, as well, reminds me of a mantra-like rain dance...Smoke 'em...something or other. A kind-of back woods number to accompany the still. Cool.
Peace.

Actually it is...
...an electric guitar. I recorded it straight to the board using some moderate overdrive and strong modulated delay in the input chain, then I double-tracked it and added more delay to one side. That probably explains why the sound "ramps up" instead of having a definite attack.

Anyway, thanks for the positive commentary.

Cheers,
Jim

Good Stuff
I can hear a tip of the hat towards Thin Lizzy in this one. Phil Lynott wailing over the top and a Gary Moore solo screeching through the middle. Good Stuff

Wow!
Comparing me to Phil Lynott and Gary Moore? What a compliment! *grin*
