Description
First, I called this Tuva because last year at STANFEST (Check it out, for those of you who don't know about it) there was a group of throat singers from the Tuva province of Mongolia, I believe. They're great. Check them out too (Chirgilchin) :P This is just a rough sketch. I downloaded the Ableton Suite 2 week demo last night, and this is what I came up with. Forgot to mention... Since I don't have reason or rewire, I had to devise my own way of recording ableton into garageband. I had to mic my guitar amp (which was the output for ableton) and bus that into GB. The acoustics in the room aren't great, so that accounts for the lower sound quality.

nice production Chris,
the guitar sounded great, considering what you did to get it in there..It (the guitar)perhaps could of been a little louder.. BUT I TURNED IT all UP and got what I needed out of it.. Thanx for Sharing

Liner notes, I guess
Scott... There was no guitar:P. It was completely electronic. I just used my guitar amp for a line out for ableton, and mic'ed that as a line in to garageband. There were three instruments I believe, Tablatrix C4 for the arpeggiated rhythm, a kick-808 and hand clap for the kit, and the Monk Choir for the trippy lead. Ah, and a kalimba (apparently) but like in a low octave. It was a pretty quick it only took about 45 minutes... an hour iincluding the time it took to figure out how to record it:P... and as it turns out, all three instruments that I used are only available in Ableton Suite 8, which costs $800USD-ish. :(

I started playing music at the age of 10; first bass, then a year later, picked up my father's guitar. Progressing through a mild phase of hard rock worship, I traced the history of the songs I was listening to. There I found the blues, and from the ... [see more]
