Lyrics
there was a whole life I didnt live
how true it was
how true it was
inside my own present wishing
a life of basements and canvas
ashes and chaos
followed by plane rides from
relatives
just to see if I was allright, inside my present wishing
My present wishing
its allways alright
just going great
everything positioned in the right place
theres always a mean guitar riff
inside my head

It plays at least expected moment

thats how it should be

be

should be
trains and pee

no one cares

just the way it should be
no one cares

inside my present wishing
on the opposite end

there was a whole life I didnt live
how true it was
how true it was

inside my own present wish
how true it was
how true it was
just the way it should be

inside my own present wish on the opposite

Present wish
Reminds of Jim Morrison's, this is nearly pop, just a few hooks away maybe. The thing is the focus, that intense focus makes these kinda things work. The punch line ending is popular, this is the third new piece I heard with one, I don't know...I enjoyed this on several levels, thanks for posting. I appreciate your work very much!

Before I Hit Play...
I read your lyrics and as usual, I never know what you will do.

Ego - you are one of the most original acts I've ever heard in my life. Your poetry can stand alone, but your musical ideas combined with the lyrics take it out of this world.

This is a great piece. Bass and piano - extremely powerful idea and performance.

And for the hundredth time this year, I have to compliment you on your vocals.

You are one of a kind.

tim - there's just NOBODY like you! the piano in here is really cool - an extra added bonus (for me at least!) as usual, i'm amazed by your unique creativity and i admit to having become a total ego-addict (hmm, that didn't sound right) :)

cool
seems like you never use piano in your tunes. sounds perfect here. your probably sick of me telling you how much I like your drum tracks, so I won't bother. love teh wandering feel of this one, while the drums hold it tight. it's like walking down the street with a bunch of puppies who don't know how to walk on a leash (meant that as a compliment - i'll shut up now).

Great sound
Solid sound. All the instruments mesh well together with those drums. Now, the words "there's always a mean guitar riff
inside my head", GREAT line.

And very cool song Tim. Possibly your best

interplay of the bass and piano is cool - add some power chord guitar to this and its the white stripes. your vox are great - honest and emotionally tuned into the music. imo this is a cool expression of what i imagine was bouncing around in your head prior to recording it, if that makes any sense.

cool
great sounding track. piano, bass and drums mixed together fantastically well.
as always, there are lots of tasty musical ideas to chew on. bass sounds a little jazzy.
really like the "that's how it should be" break. nice and spacious, with cool drums and cymbal crashes.

Reall great work on this one Tim
the piano sounds great - gets the job done and adds a new color to your palette. Like M2 - your drums are always amazing - and it's incredible to think of how your voice has developed over the last few years. I remember when you started singing with great hesitance and resistance - and now you have real instrument and the poetry and feelings just flow. Cool track.

Love that piano
and the drums. There's a modest mouse feel to this. It may be the piano and the rhythm of the vocals. Something delightfully maniacal about it. Great tune!

wow.
great piano! Intense lyrics, too. Lots of power in this tune, and you don't rely on the old hat tricks like distortion or anything like that. Just genuine intensity. Well done!

The
lyrics are surely very personal and this added lots of power to the song.
the guitar was put aside for this one and yet it retains the anguish and the rage that no distortion could bring up!
