Description
I'm offering up a song as an open collab.

Let me know if you do a remix - I'd love to listen!

Do what you will with it...

Let me know if you want the separate tracks to remix with.

Life is going along all merrily.
Then some famous person dies.
And another.
And another.
It makes you stop and think.

Very cool vocal effects
really nice synth riff too - got a little Peter Gabriel meets Paul Simon feel. Excellent post Bill - and appropriate too - bringing music to the moment.

Bill, this is cool
I love the beat and the vocals. Is that you singing, or who? This is ethereal, yet down to earth, like showing the living and the departed. I thank God that through Jesus, the fear of death has been removed, because it could be scary to see people younger than I suddenly dying. I'm glad these thoughts in you produced such a cool song!

A bit of an
Island feel. I can hear steel drums and spirited singing by a group like Ladysmith Black Mombasa. The choral is perfect. It is a celebration of life: at least I see it as that. I can have words very quickly. But I can't do any mastering. If anyone is interested in my words, ping me, peeps. Bill, I LOVE it. Thanks so much, sweetie.

Love the vocals.
and that bass line. This has a lot of possibilities Bill. Like the way you brought the strings in and out around the vox parts. Very cool track Bill.

Good Production
Nicely produced with good songs and clean sound. May add a bit of dynamic to the song if you drop the bass and drums at a part and only go with the vocals and synth, or one or the other.

Anyway, nicely done!

Cool vox
but I'm a little suspicious of my liking the way they change perfectly at the appropriate times. I think my pleasure might manifest itself as irritation over the long term. Maybe they need to be given some oddball quantizing?

some detail
no suspicions are necessary. my goal on many of my songs is composition, not performance

from voices jampack: various Seth Background and Seth Lyric - i constructed my own chord progressions from the vocal fragments - part of the bye bye chorus is built out of pitch shifted chunks

of the bass lines, one is a modified loop, the other is made from scratch - strings are mostly all mine - organ part is mine

at the end i mixed several dissonant vocal chords all together with the idea in mind of 10cc's 1975 hit i'm not in love

the arrangement and mixdown is all my fault

thanks

This is really cool....
it reminds me of Jazzanova with the broken up beats and creative changes. Is that a specific genre of electronic music? If it is i should find out what it is. I like it. Stands of it's own.

not sure... i'll gladly offer up the tracks all separate so you can do what you would like - maybe add some real lyrics? a killer lead part?

(this is yet another one of my "almost gave up and quit MacJams" songs - i get too wrapped up in this place at times)

Eclectic, at best. I learned some music theory at school, and read a ton about it since. I've listened to lots of music over the years. I once played guitar in an actual garage band and actually got paid to play! Once. Although live performance is an... [see more]
