Dazzled and Confounded

Description
Well, I tried to wait to post this until my other song scrolled off the front page, but I could only wait till it got halfway down. So I guess I'm officially a spammer.

This one starts off slow and gets better as it goes.

It's "inspired" by a song with a clouded past. Apparently the very familiar bassline that we've all come to know and love was played off and on by a certain person with different bands and was written by another person entirely. There were no lawsuits over writing credits, and only a little animosity surrounding the origination of this little riff. In the spirit of Jimmy Page, not only can I claim song writing credits, but I can also safely post this as a non-cover. (And yes, I still dig Mr. Page)
I play the bass in this song, the guitar is by a man named Jim and the drums by a man named Brad.

The instruments are a Fender Jazz Bass, Fender Strat, Snare w/brushes, Roland Cube Amp, Fender Bassman Amp.

I don't know what the picture is about. I just liked it.

Enjoy

Two of the three "R"s …
Got here via the "Lazy Songwriting" thread, and I'm glad I did! Re-use, recycle, my friend! I left out "reduce" because I'm not sure how that applies to music...

Anyway, it's a fine idea to re-use elements of others' songs as the basis for new ones, and I enjoyed this very much!

I agree
It's interesting to take a bass line and create another song. Jim's Strat lingering in the back is nice. Good job with this, I am Dazzled.
