Description
Beginning 1st minute--dancers are Gazelles. It is dark at night and all is calm on the plains. But then daylight begins to break and the Gazelles find themselves hearing noises in the background. It makes them nervous as they search in the dark for danger. They cannot see the danger that lies within the shadows. But then all of a sudden several lions jump from the shadows and begin to attack the gazelles. The gazelles leap in fear and try to stave off the attack, but the lions are too powerful. The lions overcome two gazelles. As the gazelles fight for their lives, human hunters appear and ward off the lions. But the lions overcome one of the gazelles and carry the gazelle into the darkness. The hunters then dance around the remaining wounded gazelle and carry her off.
Next scene: Gazelle is struggling for life as hunters try to care for the wounded gazelle. The gazelle struggles for it's life to get well. Finally, the gazelle struggles and gets up. A huge light shines down on the gazelle indicating that "life" has won the struggle over "death." The hunters bring the Gazelle back to the plains where it dances with the other animals who are glad to see her alive and well. Then.."Dance of Love"....make Gazelle sees her and falls in love. They dance a mating ritual (ballet) and then exit the stage. The other animals continue to dance. Male and female Gazelle enter from the opposite side of the stage and following them are 2 little gazelles. All of the animals hail the new lives. Then all of the animals and hunters join in the dance and pay tribute to the circle of life...join hands in the end and go clockwise'counterclockwise/up/down to signify the changes in life's path...
