Description
Just a little blues number - short and nothing fancy. I found a little acoustic guitar loop in GB that is the ringing sound that repeats itself that set this one up for me. I wish I could make that sound myself - believe me I tried. Sometimes a single loops is a great sideman. The rest is my guitar, bass, keys, and DOD drums with some Euro Slicer synth thing added to the rhythm section.

pure raw blues
I dig this gritty sound. It's like you've put your mix through a fuzz filter. Very cool guitar stuff. Sorta reflects an identity that has a lot rock'n roll in it's veins... torn edges and worn jeans kinda feel.

Brilliant!

Trad blues progression played loud and raw. Nice job on the vocals too Kevin.

You always get such cool tones on your guitars man. Hopefully someday they'll be Amplitube Bud software so guys like me can get those sounds too! Ha ha...

chord that rings above the noise. It was acoustic - and I made it sound more like electric dobro. Thanks for stopping by.

nothing like
those "I'm going to do something dangerous" blues. The steady drive gives this the charm of a dark alley in Scary Town, USA. Which, of course, is a good thing.

time to do some catching up
i sat here listening as each awesome layer was added and could NOT think of the word i wanted to use to describe the sound i'm hearing, then i looked down and see thoddi used "gritty". it's perfect. gritty. for some reason this song evokes images of my teen years, parties down at the river, on the sandbar at dusk, an old ghetto blaster blaring some classic rock. i love the bass in this, thumping steadily, moving the piece along. great stuff. downloaded for sure. thanks.

Gritty covers a lot of technical deficiencies
that's why it's a style I gravitate towards. Could be called laziness I guess - by I like to think of it as an artistic choice. I loved your teen party image. Thanks.

an excellent tune
just all works so well together.
A cracking authentic real song...
What youve done with the guitars is just sweet. The music drags you along with it forcing you to nod your head, instantly sucking you into the groove.
I like that its short too... Not because i wanted it to be over but i like the fact it left me wanting to replay it.
Cheers

the blues slinger
i love how sonically deep your guitar work always is, all those sounds in there, all those notes/feedback/string noises bouncing off of each other in the mix, makes for a very interesting listen. also like how simple your solos are, one foot in front of the other but with tons of attitude and determination - solos that could walk through walls.

Blues...
...maybe with the lyrics (and the "toss 'em out" photo!)... But this is all rock 'n' roll to me. This is really well-conceived, Bud, and the mix is just about perfect with your own additions and playing skills. My only nit is the length: I felt like another minute/another verse would have been just about right. Loved this easy rockin' number. Blues? I dunno.
Peace.
Paul

the music escapes through a window
the blues are hard. the music is loud. the neighbors move out. their belongings piled on the lawn, awaiting a moving van. the bluesman is at it again. it is a humourous thought from the photograph. it is excellent music and singing. 0x0
