Lyrics
Your self-denial confrontational style, a means to an end
You stole a page from the prayer book and you underlined the amens.
You said that's so rich, well it's the death of the sales pitch: the mixed signals you send,
You're in distress, well you created this mess, so there's no need to pretend

Peace Love Liberty
Are part of the game
Peace Love Liberty
Are slogans again

Your last tango routine with the second-rate beauty queen was easy to score.
Yes, you made the front page, icon of the age, and the boy next door.
Well you sound so right with your ten-second sound bite,
I don't hear it no more

Peace Love Liberty
Are part of a game
Peace Love Liberty
Are slogans again
and again

Tell me is there, anything more
I'd just like to say I heard it all before
And I appreciate your support

Peace Love Liberty
Are part of the game
Peace Love Liberty
Are just slogans again

Thanks For Listening

Yes - the words are important here, for instance, how can someone on stage preach to an audience about world poverty, then promptly charter a jet at $10k to go to Italy to collect a hat that he left....

True story.

Thanks for checking us out.

peace, love, etc
you guys are definitely carrying the torch for Simple Minds, INXS, etc into the 00's. huge sound, great playing, pro all around. i normally stay away from didactic songs but this is so sonically cool - and the lyrics are unusually good - poetic and interesting metaphor and all that - that i don't mind the lesson. now i've got to go charter a jet, left my hat in france...

Thanks T!
Glad you like it and stuck with it - big compliment on the lyrics, thanks, man, means a lot coming from a fine wordsmith as yourself. 'Unusually good..." - we like that!

old school, new school, any school
Hi I.G.M
Yes, we like the old pop-rock school. But we like your school too. You took me (I'm gone) to the school of the immortal, but sadly departed John Martyn; hope you don't mind the comparison. Great stuff.
PS I love the piano, regardles what other posts say about the tuning.

WOW!!!

Solid performance all round, great mesh of instruments with a top vocal to seal the deal. Sophisticated lyrics that conjure up pictures so easily. Catchy, easy to buy into chorus - sometimes a hard trick to pull off without being cheesy, but you guys manage it effortlessly.

Pro-standard - downloaded before someone re-alises that this is too good to be free...

Old School Rock and Roll
You all seem to blend 70s with 80s rock and roll sounds. Very nice. Enjoyed it.
