Description
I'm guessing this is in the public domain. I learned it from some hammer dulcimer players a couple years ago, and recorded this version last year. I recorded it mostly to practice my guitar playing, trying to work on the precision a bit. Strictly instrumental.

Well now
this is a great old tune! And I like how you've done it up. I guess the tune is about an Irish battle fought sometime around 500 years ago. It's an ancient tune. Well done. I'm gonna have to check out more of your stuff.

Seeeking permission to use your track
Hi David, I found your track The Road to Lisdoonvarna and thought it would suit a video I've made of the Journey of an Explorer back in 1825 in Australia. Allan Cunningham travelled to the Liverpoole Plains and I've made a video of the Google Earth journey. I hope you don't mind but I added your music to the video. Here's the link: http://www.artuccino.com/Allan_Cunningham/Blog/2010-11-01_Liverpool_Plains_1825.html Let me know if all is OK.

Just a folk singer. Well - mostly a folk singer, but I like to try just about every style a middle-class white guy from Mid-Michigan can sincerely try. Be sure to check out my "band" — I used to play R&R with these guys back in the 70s, but now we'... [see more]
