Lyrics
I follow my heart
Never quite knowing where
I wasn't looking for love
When I got lost in your eyes

I turned around and there she was, a little slice of heaven on earth
She flashed her smile and said hello
And left it up to me to converse

I didn't know what to say, I couldn't get the words out anyway
I stood there mesmerized and at that moment I realized

I follow my heart
Never quite knowing where
I wasn't looking for love
When I got lost in your eyes

She had the look, so continental
coupled with the mouth of a sailor
Everything she did made me feel like a kid
Wanting nothing more than to nail her

She never needed to say
Her body does the talking and I like it that way
Her mission is to delight
A mission she performs every night

I follow my heart
Never quite knowing where
I wasn't looking for love
When I got lost in your eyes

(repeat chorus)

Great Stuff
Very White Snakish ... By the way, my roommate is a big fan of VH. We both think the song sounded a bit country-like at the first 1/4. The lead is impressive indeed. Rock 'em bro...

A layering of different styles
Great energy in the lead guitar, great amp sound. Nice
grooves and song sections, altho the transition into the
guitar solo seemed sudden to me. The guitar is a real
highlight. The vocals sounded square next to the emotive
power of the guitar; sometimes they seemed like you
playing and singing in different songs. I really like the
idea of the call and response chorus and that repeating
figure in the synth. Nice ending.

Pete Townsend?
Voice has a bit of Pete in it. Van Halen meets PT meets
Foreigner meets Journey?

following your heart
i liked the vocals. especially the harmonies. lots of "r"s though. what a collection of sounds. that last part with the guitar solo and the drums... now that seemed like a different song. but when you are following your heart, you never where you'l end up!

excellent track
The vocals and guitar were both very good, but the
treatment of the vocals sounded sort of one-dimensional
compared to the guitar's.

Good lyrics and chords, and the drums fit in well. I would
have liked to hear just a bit more variety in the chord/
accompaniment during the last section.

Overall, excellent track!
