Description
Another collaboration between Johnny Katchoolik and myself. This was our first one and I added vocals, lyrics, melody and lead guitar to the other tracks Johnny had assembled. I found it hard, at first, to add lyrics to an already written music piece but I kept at it and Johnny and I liked what we ended up with.

Lyrics
The sun went creeping to the end of the day
It looked around and it said no way
Can I look below the clouds and see you there

The moon kissed the sun and it said goodbye
I have promised not to tell you a lie
The day is done and you lost your chance to brighten up the sky

Chorus
I've got a strange feeling down in my bones
That this is a dream and I'm all alone
And I don't know anyone at all
Just hypnotized . . . mystified by you

I've got holes in my brain
Just a place to meet the rain
Wash away all of these thoughts that bring me down

The winds of war they blow my way
And I just long for the day
When all hate will be gone, oh yes, sing that song

Hey!
You're working with J. Katchoolik? Please say "hi" for me...

As far as adding lyrics to an already completed piece: that's all I've ever done. If you hadn't mentioned it, I'd never have given it a second thought. Well written stuff...fits with the sounds perfectly.

beautiful song gents...
this is a classic ballad piece of music. So much feeling and the vibe runs through the lyrics and music consistently. Well sung Bronco, and well played Johnny... sparse, yet full.

I like
the production for this song - the percussion really serves the tone of setting it up and then the chorus takes a different turn.

I love to play guitar. I have been writing songs for many years and have a large catalog by this time. Songwriting is easy. Writing great songs is hard! Born in Louisiana and live in Texas. I grew up on Chuck, Jerry Lee, Elvis, Ricky, Little Richard ... [see more]
