Description

"Che Shod?" means "What Happened?" in Persian.
This song is tribute to the victims of recent violence in Iran, those who died, those who got arrested, ant their families.
This is the first song with our new band "Harmonic Trine", which is a coalition between the memnber of Confounded(me!) and members of Pharos. the band the we made the October Emotions album with.
The lyrics are in Farsi(Persian), but I've put an English translation of it here.
Lyrics are originally from the ancient poet, Hafez.

Che Shod
I pray daily for the Iranian people. They are a loved people in my world. This regime that creates such distrust in the world will reap what they sew. I pray that their crops do not hurt our Iranian brothers and sisters. The music is captivating and want to be a part of it at the first measure. Thank you for this song!

Powerful
Loved it. One thing that I've admired about your work is that you are not shy about composing long drawn out pieces --- my kind of stuff. Parts of it reminded me of Michael Oldfield, one of my favorite composers of long pieces of music. The lyrics are powerful, and the music is appropriate to the message. Really great. Would you mind telling us a little more about the band and the instruments used?

Thank you Reggie for your kind words. personally, I myself also prefer the long pieces, so I feel more comfortable making long pieces.
About the band, Harmonic Trine as I said is a new band, formed by me and members of Pharos, another Persian progressive rock band.
not many instruments have used in this song, Farbod is on electric guitar, Sahar is singing the vocals, and I'm over the keyboard. and of course, a long process of composing and mixing which is also done by me.

You band really clicks here... the music is captivating, well played, beautifully sung, and the poetry is distilled anguish.

My heart bleeds for the violence, deception, anger, and chaos in Iran. I am hoping with all my heart for calm compassionate minds to win there, and for you and family/friends to be safe.

Great message, and a great song
First of all, there's a lot of companionship out here! All over the planet Earth, we, the free people are with you and for you.
The song. The guitar, wow! I hear some Floyd/Gilmore in here! I love the guitar, played with such passion and honesty. The song itself is very well arranged, produced, but I feel the vocals are a little bit too toned down, or doesn't get their rightful justice. That's the only suggestion I have, bring the vocals forward a bit. Other than that, this is great! The song has so many layers of surprises, a nice beat, but also with the rightful pain it deserves to the tears of the guitar.

Yeah Farbod on the guitars have done an amazing work. also Sahar on vocals. she tried it to be more sorrowful than angry & loud, except from one part in the middle of song.
